The asa
The Advertising Standards Authority is the regulator of all media advertising across the UK. They work on acting on complaints and checking the media to prevent misleading, harmful or offensive advertisements. They aim to make every ad a responsible ad. If an ad goes against the UK Advertising Codes then it must be removed or amended. In 2012 31,298 complaints were made about ads, 3700 ads were changed or withdrawn.
banned advert
For my banned advert i chose the skittles advert.
If i was part of the ASA i would remove this ad from tv because it is inappropriate. This is because skittles are aimed at young children and this advert is not suitable for children. It would be misleading and would show explicit material for younger viewers.
